Through the Savali’s project of water restoration in 3 villages either by digging or desilting wells and also recharging the borewell the problem of water shortage especially in the months from March to May is resolved.
At Mhasepada, the well supplying water to villages was desilted and the well was brought back to life. This has benefitted around the 500+ families in these villages in a sustainable matter.
Savali celebrated its 10th Anniversary in month of May 2017. A function organised to celebrate the achievement of milestone which was attended by the dignitaries from corporate world who are our Donors like Mahanagar Gard Ltd., State Bank of India, Volkart Foundation Indian Trust, Vistra ITCL Ltd., Redemaco Engg. Pvt. Ltd. etc. Renowned Past President of Institute of Chartered Accountant of India Shri. Y. H. Malegam graced the occasion as Chairperson whereas Professor Parsuraman the erstwhile director of TATA Institute of Social Sciences and Dr. Uday Nirgudkar, renowned Journalist were our Chief Guests. Head of Paediatric Cardiology department at Kokilaben Hospital Dr. Suresh Rao also graced the occasion.
Savali was overwhelmed as these all dignitaries extended their appreciation towards Savali’s work and the change that Savali is bringing at the grass root level.
Every year Savali distributes 10,000 Puranpoli’s i.e. 2000 packets to school and Adivasi families. Generous donations from donors support this program.
Every Year Savali’s Bachat Gat women prepare Diwali Faral which is distributed to 800 students and 2000 Adivasi families. The local women prepare the faral and they earn money.
An appeal was made through the “Tarun Bharat Sanvad” to financially help a 11 year old gifted intelligent artist Vijay from Tulas village, Kudal, Sindhudurg district in pursuing his dream of becoming a musician as his family is not able to support him financially. Savali has adopted Vijay Tulskar for all his education and has whole heartedly gifted a piano worth Rs.70,000. Vijay is extremely grateful to Savali for this and is doing wonders in music field.
With financial assistance of Rs. 51 Lakhs from Mahanagar Gas Limited Savali successfully implemented and handed over the Solar powered water Scheme in March 2024 to Gram panchayat of Kashele in Karjat Taluka of Raigad district. Through this project water is supplied to all 7000-8000 villager’s homes and at very low rates due to Solar power. Each of 7 village’s has also got a 3000-litre tank ensuring extra water during festivals or social events.
Vanita Pawar from Narur Adivasi pada at Vetalbambarde, Kudal, Sindhudurg district with Savali’s financial backing is training katkari boys and girls from Nagya Mahadu Vasahat to make experts at National level Mallakhamb champions.
